Social Skills Groups In North Las Vegas
Having social skills is more than just about making friends. It’s about everyday confidence and lifelong independence. Your child’s social skills will shape how they make friends, solve problems, and spend time with others now and as young adults.
We’re not here to lecture anyone. We’re here to help children and young adults live out social situations in fun and engaging ways.

Our program focuses on giving children and young adults real-life experiences. This help them build confidence and independence.
Here’s what sets us apart:
- Safe environment: We have created a safe, supportive space without judgment for our participants to practice independence and learn from mistakes
- Peer interaction in a natural environment: Our methods are fun and authentic. Participants will get to play board games and watch videos, cook together, joke around, and just hang out.
Addressing Your Common Concerns
We often encounter some concerns that might be holding parents back. Maybe you have these concerns too?
“It seems too loose. I want a structured environment.”
Our program is more flexible than school or other therapies. Participants can dive into real-life situations and get support when needed.
“What does it cost?”
This program goes through insurance, so there is no extra financial burden.
“I can’t make it every day at set times.”
That’s okay! Our program is flexible and can be scheduled at various times to fit your family’s needs.

How The Social Skills Program Helps
At Project MIND, our social skills groups helps people with neurodevelopmental disorders, ages 7 to 22. We focus on practicing and strengthening social skills in a warm, supportive setting.
We see our social skills program as a safe space. Here, you can learn to do everyday tasks on your own while having fun.
The Goals of Social Skills Groups
Our program focuses on building independent living skills:
- Practicing conversations
- Developing assertiveness
- Practicing appropriate behavior
- Handling conflict and losing gracefully
- Preparing meals with others in the kitchen
- Learning empathy and how to regulate emotions
- Building comfort in being bored and independent downtime
For us, it’s so important that our participants start building self-confidence because this can be beneficial for all aspects of their lives and therapies.

How It Works
Our social skills program focuses on personalization. This is because each participant has different needs and levels. You’ll start by compiling all the relevant paperwork, such as insurance and diagnostic forms.
Next up is onboarding with our BCBA, who takes the time to get to know the history, strengths, and challenges of the participant to create an appropriate plan.
From there, your child can start the program.
