Pediatric Speech Therapy In North Las Vegas
Every child should have the chance to express themselves. This can be through words, gestures, or other creative ways. Our pediatric speech therapy partners in Las Vegas helps children build confidence and find their voices.
What makes our speech therapy at Project MIND different from others is that it doesn’t stand alone. This support is fully integrated with our ABA therapy. We find that this reinforces communication skills throughout the day.

Our speech therapy is run by our skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) partners. They work directly with the children and families.
Why choose Project MIND for speech therapy?
- Expert-led: Our SLP partner also trains our BCBA staff so that speech skills are woven into daily ABA sessions
- Collaborative approach: Families get help with every step in this program, so they see the benefits.
- Bilingual care: Speech therapy is offered in English and Spanish so childen can learn in the language they prefer.
Our speech therapy stands out because we reinforce it daily with ABA and other developmental skills. Consistent learning is when we see children truly grow.
Common Objections We Hear
We’ve been supporting children with autism since 2019. During this time, we’ve heard a lot of objections and hesitations that often stem from misinformation and myths.
“My child already has a speech therapist.”
This is not a problem! Our SLP partner can collaborate with outside providers if that’s what you prefer. But what makes our support so unique is that our ABA staff can reinforce speech and communication goals throughout the sessions. At Project MIND, we’re all about consistent progress.
“I don’t think my child needs speech therapy.”
Often, we find that parents think that speech therapy is just ‘talking.” But it’s actually much broader than that. It includes gestures, social interaction, comprehension, and even feeding skills.
“I’d rather hear directly from the expert.”
We agree! Our SLP partner always takes the time to meet with families personally to answer questions and share the benefits of this support.
Got any more questions? We’d love to answer them.

How Speech Therapy Works
Speech therapy programs are flexible and personalized. Most importantly, it suits your child’s developmental stage. Sessions will depend on your child’s needs, and can focus on things like:
- Developing non-verbal communication skills, such as pointing and eye contact
- Strengthening feeding and swallowing skills if and when they’re needed
- Building social communication skills, like asking for help
- Improving speech clarity
- Expanding vocabulary
These skills aren’t just learned once a week. They’re linked to our ABA therapy, so every day, children practice communication through play and daily routines.
The Goals of Speech Therapy
No child learns the same, and that’s why we don’t consider perfection as success. Growth can look different for different children. Our goal is to aim for:
- Less frustration as children can express their feelings
- Better social interactions, like playing with others
- Consistency across all therapies, like ABA
- More words and clearer speech
- Stronger bilingual skills

The Assessment Process
Every child at Project MIND has access to speech therapy that is uniquely created for their age and needs. To do this, the assessment process looks something like this:
Parent Interview
This is a chance for our SLP partner to learn about your child’s history, strengths, and challenges
Collaborative Planning
Together with the BCBA, our SLP partner will create a treatment plan that aligns with your child’s ABA goals
Language Testing
Our SLP partner will test your child’s vocabulary, comprehension, articulation, and social use of language using a fun play-based activity
After this, your child is ready to start building communication and language skills that will take them far into their future.
